MW Opa started his investing and retirement planning at age 30. He has invested in probably every type of liquid investment. He quit his engineering job at age 47 to become self-employed as a money manager (SEC-registered, California-licensed) and an engineering consultant. He became semi-retired (discontinuing engineering work) at age 55 and fully retired at age 59 (3/95). MW Opa married his lovely wife in '57, has four children, and is known as Opa by his three grandchildren and on MoneyWhiz.
